Hi

Which shop did you buy from?

There are some details and advice about what you can do here:
www.myinternationalshopping.com/advice/c...-for-overseas-buyers

You can contact the FTC:
www.ftc.gov/

And there is something called the Better Business Bureau:
www.bbb.org/

Who you should be able to contact and they will help you.

I know that this happens, as you say, it can be more expensive to return the item due to the cost of return shipping. You should still get your money back though. Try emailing the shop first and if they don't want to co-operate you can get in touch with one of the above.

I hope this helps?

Hi. I came across this forum and was wondering if someone could offer some advice.

The whole story is long but the end result was the Seller (in the US) would not accept the return of the item and asked DHL (UK) to destroy it. Their reason being that the cost of return was greater than the value of the item.
My concern is that they can say this about pretty much any shipment and use it as a way to get out of paying refunds.

I'm not sure who to contact next as their customer service was not good from the email correspondence I had with them.

Thanks in advance.
